Court of Appeal Kicks Off Two-Day Criminal Appeals Session in Kampala

A panel of three Justices led by the Deputy Chief Justice, Hon. Justice Richard Buteera, kicked off a two-day session at the Court of Appeal where 25 cases are going to be handled.

Hon. Lady Justice Eva Luswata and Justice Oscar J. Kihika are the other members of the panel.

The cause list of the session signed by HW Lillian Bucyana, the Deputy Registrar Court of Appeal Criminal Registry, indicates that the Session will handle 12 Murder appeals, 10Defilement, one appeal for False Pretense, and one for Aggravated Trafficking and one appellant wants the court to quash his Robbery conviction.

The appellants are participating in the court session by way of video conferencing while their advocates are present in court.
